The rooms are spacious and historical in style. Nearly all bathrooms are shower and bathtub, there are a small number of rooms that are shower only. The Memories Restaurant is like a step back in time to the beginning of the 20th Century. Chandeliers and fine Kauri ceilings make the restaurant stand out in the city. Serving the finest New Zealand and international cuisine. An historical Wooden two storey colonial period building. Originally built in 1897 in the township of Waihi. The hotel was moved to Rotorua in 1921. A medium sized lobby decorated in classic style with a grand chandelier and stained glass windows. There are some armchairs and a small table in the lobby. A great centrally located historical hotel. Excellent refurbishment and high quality furnishings and service. Excellent value. SE1008
